A "proof-of-concept" prototypical version of the system has been implemented in ESPRESS by Robert Büssow, Wolfgang Grieskamp, Stephan Herrmann, and Winfried Heicking. Contributions have been made by Jochen Burghardt and Jacob Wieland. Erich Mikk has provided valuable feedback by testing early alpha versions of the ZAP engine.
The present core system has been developed by Wolfgang Grieskamp and Robert Büssow, and is occasionally maintained (depending on his current work load) by the former one.
